Top Seller Questions

1. If I sign a listing agreement with you, what steps will you follow to market the sale of my home?

The marketing plan for selling your home is best described as a 10 point plan (see Marketing Banner on home page of this website). Briefly, this plan includes such methods as print advertising in major area publications, direct mailings to interested clients when appropriate, open houses, placing your home in the regional multiple listing service so that other agents are aware of the property, and creating full color brochures and fact sheets to be available in your home when potential clients and agents come to view your property.

2. Are you experienced in my neighborhood?

I am licensed to service real estate in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Many of my transactions are in the Upper North West areas of Washington, D.C. and the Bethesda and Chevy Chase areas of Maryland. However, I am qualified and proficient in the listing and sales of properties throughout the entire Metropolitan Area.

3. How do you determine a competitive listing price for my home?

Before meeting with you to discuss the listing agreement I will draw upon the resources available to me regarding recent sales of homes in your area. I will look at the comparable assets of your home compared to others listed and sold in your area and gather information regarding the ever changing local real estate trends in your area. The physical condition, any expansions or renovations, etc. all are impacting factors to determine an eventual listing price for your home.

4. Will I need to make any improvements to my home before it is placed on the market?

Naturally, you will want your property to be at it's best in this competitive market. In general, you will want your home to be clean and neat on both the inside and outside. General maintenance such as cleaning windows, trimming hedges, and mowing lawns can have a positive impact on the timely sale of your home. It may also become necessary to complete more extensive jobs such as removing overgrown or dead trees and addressing any known structural concerns or defects.
